Woman charged after armed police race to late night 'disturbance' in Kirkcaldy

A woman has been charged following an alleged late night disturbance at home in Fife.

Police swooped on Larach Court, Kirkcaldy, at around 11.55pm last night.

At least ten police vehicles were pictured in the area as the drama unfolded, with armed officers also believed to be in attendance.

But the force insisted there was no risk to the wider public.

Cops confirmed a 35-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the alleged incident.

Armed police were said to be at the scene on Larach Court (Fife Jammers Locations)

She will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court later today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 11.55pm on Monday, 19 April, 2022, officers were called to a woman causing a disturbance within a property in Larach Court, Kirkcaldy.

“The 35-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"She is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 19 April, 2022.

“There was no wider risk to the public.”
