Woman catches cheating boyfriend thanks to clue in his social media activity

A woman has shared how she discovered her boyfriend was cheating on her using one vital clue that she found in his social media activity.

Kenzie Curran explained her story on TikTok when she said she was already suspicious that her boyfriend of two years might have been unfaithful to her, so she decided to get him to go through his Snapchat history to see if there was any proof of his actions on his account.

The woman, who is from the US, said she and her partner were living apart at the time, as he was back home in Iowa while she was living in California, so their conversation took place over FaceTime.

In her TikTok video, Kenzie said: “I told him I was only calling for one of two reasons, one, we're going to be broken up forever, or two, we're going to be broken up but maybe down the road when I move back to Iowa, we'll figure it out."

The woman went on to explain she first contacted her boyfriend's mum to make sure he was at home so that he wouldn't face any distractions, and then when the video call started, she got him to prop his phone up and sit away from it - before asking for the password to his Snapchat account.

Kenzie, who posts under the username @keepinupwkenz, said her boyfriend claimed he "didn't know" his Snapchat password but that didn't stop the woman from achieving her goal, as she instead got him to screen record the process of going through his account.

But when Kenzie told him to send the recording, her boyfriend refused - which confirmed to her that there was material within his Snapchat account that he didn't want her to see.

She knew the truth when he refused to send the video (@keepinupwkenz/TikTok)

She said: "He never sent it. I asked him where the video was and he said it was sending. I told him I wasn't getting it and afterwards he said he didn't send it.

"That's how I found out he was cheating. I didn't have to be there, I didn't have to check his phone, I literally just phoned him and asked."

Kenzie also wrote on the video to offer more context, as he said her boyfriend "admitted" to not sending the video when he "literally couldn't find a way out of" doing what she had asked.

She then said: “If he is weird in any way shape or form about sending it, probably means exactly what you’re thinking happened.”

People in the comments of the videos were split over Kenzie's methods, as while some said she had the right idea, others claimed she should have dumped her partner before going through the process of the video call, as there was already "no trust" in their relationship.

One person said: "No relationship without trust, if you feel you need to look at his personal social media he isn’t the one."

While another added: "If you have to put this much thought into catching someone cheating on you, save the time and just leave. No trust = no relationship."

But a third said: "I'm so doing this after my trip."
