A woman who tried to take her own life a number of times when she was a teenager has revealed how she battled back from the brink to coach women.
Claire Welch-Beasley has opened up on her mental health struggles, as well as her diagnosis with ADHD and borderline personality disorder, and how when she was just 13 years old she had already self-harmed. The now 31-year-old also revealed that she attempted a number of suicide attempts when she was a teenager before her closest brush with death when she was 21.
Following the attempt to take her own life, Claire took the decision to seek help and was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder before she sought further therapy until she was 25 when she discovered other therapies. She said: "I’ve been on a monumental journey of change to get to where I am today and be in a place where I can now help others.

"It all started for me in school where I was known as a ‘goth’ or ‘rocker’ and alternative dresser with acne and glasses - this led to some pretty harsh bullying, being called ‘freak’ and ‘weirdo’ amongst other things."
She added: "The bullying was unbearable and I developed social anxiety, spending most of my time in my bedroom. By the time I was 13 I had self-harmed and this led to several suicide attempts through my teenage years. By the time I left school, I was a shell and I sought refuge in abusive relationships with narcissists who took what was left of me."
Now, Claire has started her own coaching where she takes women on journeys of self-discovery, helping them deal with trauma by making people feel comfortable with their own style. She has managed to open her own business, based on Woodside Business Park in Birkenhead, called Wardrobe Warriors.
Claire said: “It’s been a long and hard journey but I’m so proud of who I am today and it’s an honour to help women in the same way I’ve helped heal myself. I’m much more than just a Style Coach (TM) or Image Consultant — I go much deeper than that and I the life experiences I’ve had means I can truly relate to people."
