A homeless woman from Macclesfield has been banned from Macclesfield town centre for three years.
Lauren Wilson, 26, described as a "prolific offender" by local police, has also been banned from entering three shops in the area.
Wilson was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order at Crewe Magistrates' Court this week.
The order prevents her from entering a defined area covering Macclesfield town centre, and also a specific Tesco Superstore, Co-Op and McColls stores, CheshireLive reports.
The CBO, which was applied for by Macclesfield South Beat Team, prohibits Wilson from entering the area unless for any pre-arranged appointments.
If Wilson fails to follow the order, she could be fined or returned to prison.
Sergeant Matt Bassirat said: “This is a great result for Macclesfield as we have hindered another prolific offender from continuing to bring misery to residents and businesses in the town.
“The time spent by officers dealing with such prolific offenders takes officers away from those who need our service most.
“I’d like to thank the courts for issuing this order and hope that this shows our residents that we will continue to use all the powers available to us to ensure that we make Macclesfield even safer.
“Wilson will be under the CBO until 19 April 2026 and if she fails to comply with any of the conditions, she could be imprisoned for up to five years.”
