Police have launched an investigation into the incident, asking anyone in the area around that time to get in touch, and have reassured the local community that extra officer patrols would be put in place in the area.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark McLennan said: “The woman was left understandably shaken by this incident.

“Our enquiries are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who recognises the description of the man to get in touch.
