A woman waiting at a bus stop was among four injured in a horror lorry crash.
Police closed Oakfield Road in Anfield at around 1.30pm on Saturday after a lorry mounted the pavement and crashed into a bus stop. Thousands of football fans were arriving in the area at the time of the incident ahead of the Liverpool v Celtic match at Anfield.
Merseyside Police said four people were injured during the incident including a woman who was at the bus stop at the time. She was taken to hospital with what are believed to be lower limb injuries.

The driver of the lorry was also taken to hospital for treatment and is assisting with enquiries. A man and a woman who were on the pavement also received minor injuries during the incident, police said.
Coach driver Chris Quinn, 53, had travelled all the way from Paisley in Scotland to Anfield to drop off a coach of 30 Celtic fans for today's charity match when he witnessed the crash. Chris said he was clearing up in the back of the parked up coach at the time when he heard a bang and saw the lorry coming up the road and mounting the pavement.
He said: "There were two ladies at the bus stop - they were breathing and standing. The bus stop was completely flattened.
"By the time I got off the bus there were too many people over there already. A lot of people that were going to the game ran over to help - fans from both sides."
Photos taken at the scene showed the damage caused to the bus stop which was completely destroyed during the crash, with smashed glass left scattered across the road.
Two women, who live near the scene, said they heard the sound of a small bang followed by a larger one as the lorry crashed into the bus stop. Both women came outside to help those involved in the incident.
One said: "I was just praying there were no fatalities.
"One fella was on the floor, I helped him to get up."
She also added: "You wouldn't fault the emergency services," who she said all arrived on the scene really fast.
The woman's neighbour added: "It was absolutely rammed with loads of fans. There were a few nurses that were off duty who were trying their best to help."
