Woman, 35, assaulted in broad daylight at Lanarkshire park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in an East Kilbride park in broad daylight.

The incident happened in a recreation area next to Telford Road, in the Murray, at around 6.30pm on Saturday, May 27.

The 35-year-old victim was injured but did not need hospital treatment.

Police believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may be able to help them with their enquiries.

Officers are keen to speak to a woman described as aged in her 40’s, with dark hair and wearing dark clothing. At the time of the incident, she was in the company of another woman and two men.

Anyone who can assist should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3713 of Saturday, 27 May, 2023.
