A woman was arrested after Revenue officers found a whopping €210,000 worth of cocaine at Dublin Airport.

The illegal drugs were discovered hidden in the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Lisbon, Portugal on Monday.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station.

A Revenue spokeswoman said: "Investigations are ongoing.

"This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on Confidential Phone Number 1800 295 295."
