A woman has been arrested and over €100,000 has been seized after gardai launched a late night raid on a city centre home.
Gardai from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized the cash during a search a residence in Dublin 1 last night.
There was also €5,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb seized.
The woman arrested, who is in her 30s, was taken to Store Street Garda Station.
A garda spokesman said: "On Thursday, 3rd March, 2022, Gardai attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a residence in the Dublin 1 area.
"The search, which was part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs, took place shortly before 8pm.
"A total of €105,660 in cash was seized at the property along with €5,000 in suspected cannabis herb (subject to analysis).
"A woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and taken Store Street Garda Station where she is currently under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007."
He added: "Investigations ongoing."
