A woman has been arrested after police were called to reports of someone wielding a knife at a McDonald's restaurant. Officers were called to the fast food chain's branch off Peel Way in Bury at about 11.30am on Wednesday (August 3).
A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray. No one was injured in the incident, police have confirmed.
Several police vehicles were pictured outside the restaurant in Woodfields Retail Park following the incident.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 11:30am this morning (Wednesday 3 August 2022), officers were called to reports of a woman with a knife at a premises on Peel Way, Bury.
"Officers attended the scene and a 28-year-old woman was arrested for attempted wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and affray. No injuries were reported. The woman remains in custody for questioning."
