Woman apologises to her 'fuming' dog after haircut makes it look like an alpaca

From their waggy tails to their adorable penchant for getting into trouble, there's a lot to love about man's best friend.

One especially lovable trait is how a haircut can completely transform them into looking totally ridiculous.

Owner Eris Baker was left roaring with laughter after she went to pick up her dog Roxy - a golden Doodle - from the groomers.

And we can see why.

The poor pooch ended up looking like an alpaca rather than a noble dog.

The video of the awkward haircut has been seen more than 13 million times - and left people in stitches.

In it, Roxy obstinately faces away while Eris tries to get her attention but fails.

Eris added: "I don't think she likes her new haircut. I also don't think she likes me anymore."

She roars with laughter as the dog continues to ignore her and looks away.

In another video, she apologises to her dog before continuing to laugh at the new look.

People were left in stitches at Roxy's behaviour - and the dodgy trim.

One person joked: "She's like 'This is embarrassing, just drive.'"

Another commented: "She looks like my grandma."

Another viewer replied: "Oh my god what they did to that poor dog. She's still a cutie though."

A fourth replied: "Oh she's really mad but then again I would be too."

Happily, Eris confirmed in another video that she wasn't unhappy with the final cut - and that Roxy cheered up pretty quickly once she was back home.

She hit back at people who criticised her for having the dog's hair cut so short.

She said: "I actually thanked the groomer for doing what she did to help [Roxy].

"We had a snow storm, she also loves the mud more than anything, and happens to gets matted extremely easily.

"I do brush her, I do bathe her, she actually had four baths last week.

"That's how much she loves to be outside.

"But she's a very happy dog, she's a very well taken care of dog."

She continued: "Anyway, thank you to the Karen's for trying to make me feel bad.

"Also I do not think that the groomer did a bad job. She had her work cut out for her."
