A woman is accused of going to a house and choking her former partner after she refused to give up her phone, ACT police have said.
The 39-year-old allegedly assaulted the woman during an altercation in Chifley about 10.20pm on Monday.
Police said the two were having a conversation before the woman is accused of becoming aggressive, demanding her ex's phone and allegedly choking her when she refused to hand it over.
The Fisher resident is also accused of snatching the phone and damaging it before leaving the residence.
The other woman reported the incident to police at 4.30am on Tuesday, following which ACT Policing went to the alleged offender's home and arrested her.
The 39-year-old was charged with three family violence-related offences: aggravated property damage; choking, suffocating or strangling another person; and aggravated common assault.
She is due to face the ACT Magistrates court on Tuesday.
