A woman has filed a lawsuit in a federal court in New York, accusing music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs and his bodyguard of drugging and assaulting her in 2001. The woman, identified as Thalia Graves, alleged that she met Combs through her boyfriend, who worked at Combs' record label Bad Boy.
According to the lawsuit, Graves accepted a glass of wine from Combs and began to feel lightheaded and dizzy, eventually losing consciousness. She later woke up naked in a studio in Manhattan with her hands tied behind her back. The lawsuit claims that Combs raped her and his bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, sexually assaulted her as well.
Graves, represented by attorney Gloria Allred, is set to hold a news conference regarding the case. This lawsuit is the latest in a series of allegations of sexual violence against Combs, who was recently indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has pleaded not guilty to these charges and is currently in federal detention.
Graves alleges that the assault has caused her severe depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, leading to suicide attempts. The lawsuit also accuses Combs and Sherman of violating state civil rights laws and city administrative codes.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Combs and Sherman had recorded and published a video of the assault, adding to the distress of the victim. The lawsuit seeks justice under New York's Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
Combs is currently housed in a dorm-style room at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he shares the space with other high-profile inmates. The facility ensures that these inmates are isolated from the general public and do not have access to common areas.
