A 30-year-old woman is to face court accused of trying to run her former partner down.
She is said to have driven at him and then reversed the vehicle in a second attempt.
Police said the incident happened in Dickson about noon on Monday.
She was with her two children when she met the man near Dickson pool.
"The two had a conversation before the woman got into her car and drove at him, narrowly missing him," the police said.
"The woman allegedly reversed the vehicle and drove at him a second time, striking him in the hand and ribs."
The driver is then said to have left the scene with her children before the police were called.
"After speaking to the man and other witnesses, police attended the woman's residence in O'Connor and arrested her."
The police charged her with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated property damage and driving offences.
