A woman has been found dead in a block of flats in Aberdeen, sparking a police investigation. The 42-year-old tragically died in 'unexplained circumstances' after 'taking unwell' in the home on Foresterhill Road.
Mercy crews raced to the property at around 11.15am yesterday but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Cops say while her death is being treated as unexplained, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her passing.
Concerned locals contacted the authorities about the incident and a large police presence was spotted in and around the area, close to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, thereafter, according to Aberdeen Live.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to the Record's sister title the woman had fallen ill within one of the flats prior to her death. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
They added: “Police received a report of a 42-year-old woman having taken unwell within a property on Foresterhill Road in Aberdeen around 11.15am on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
“Emergency services attended, however, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
