A woman has been found stabbed to death inside her home in London.
The victim, 40, was found with knife injuries inside her address in Globe Road, Bethnal Green at just after 4pm today.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made, MyLondon reports.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at 4.06pm on Thursday, March 24 to concerns for the welfare of a woman at a residential property in Globe Road, E2.
"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a 40-year-old woman with stab injuries.
"She was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
"The death is being treated as suspicious and detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command have been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place. At this early stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made."
According to MyLondon, a large cordon is in place in the residential street and a number of police officers are standing guard.
Vehicles are being refused entry into the cordon as detectives investigate the fatal knife attack.
It comes after a man was stabbed inside an Asda superstore in Wembley, North East London at just before 5.30pm on Thursday.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was found suffering from stab wounds and was rushed to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.
Nothing suggests at this stage that the two incidents are linked.
