An elderly woman suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car in Warrington.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the crash at 12.44pm on Wednesday, April 5.
The incident, which involved a car and a pedestrian, occurred near to the pedestrian crossing on Knutsford Road, Latchford. The pedestrian, an 81-year-old woman, is believed to have sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Salford Hospital.

The driver of the car remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
