A 25-year-old woman from South Wales has died after taking ill at Creamfields.
Cheshire Police said officers were informed that a festival-goer had fallen ill at the Daresbury event at 10.15pm on Friday. A force spokeswoman said the patient was taken to Warrington Hospital but medics were unable to save her despite their best efforts and she passed away in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, August 30).
An investigation has been launched. The spokeswoman said police are unable to speculate on the cause of death but it is not believed to be "suspicious".

The tragedy was announced this afternoon as Cheshire Police released a summary of details relating to policing of the festival, which attracted around 69,000 visitors between Thursday and Monday.
Superintendent Sarah Heath, who led the policing operation for Creamfields 2022, said: “The tragic death of a young woman is heart-breaking and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
“An investigation into the cause of her death is under way but at this stage there is nothing to suggest that there are any suspicious circumstances.”
Police made 39 arrests during the festival for "numerous offences", with a further 42 visitors dealt with via "local resolution" - and recorded as being involved in drugs, and 71 people were spoken to over drug possession and are to be dealt with via the justice system at a later date.
