Wolves injury news for Liverpool in full including Matheus Cunha decision

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui hasn't ruled Matheus Cunha and Pedro Neto out of their match against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Spaniard feared the worst when Cunha was stretchered off with an ankle injury in the draw at Fulham on Friday, but the striker has avoided any serious problems and a late call will be made on his involvement on Wednesday night.

Wednesday's match will be the fourth time in 11 matches that Liverpool and Wolves have met and both sides have different priorities on their minds in the Premier League.

Here is a look at Wolves' full injury list and suspensions ahead of the game with Liverpool.

Matheus Cunha injury latest - is he fit to face Liverpool?

Cunha is a doubt to take on Liverpool after avoiding serious injury. The Wolves boss was unsure as to whether his £43million striker will be available so soon after the knock.

Lopetegui said: “He doesn’t have a big injury, but it’s been more or less difficult in these five days. We will make the last decision (before the Liverpool game), it depends if he’s better, but I don’t know if it’ll be enough. It’s not serious, fortunately. Now, we will see if he’s available or not.”

Other Wolves injury news

Pedro Neto is also a doubt for Wolves when they take on Liverpool at Anfield, but the forward is progressing well with his injury and could take a place in the squad.

Lopetegui added: “Pedro is working better and day by day he feels better. He’s closer to helping us and we’re happy for him. It’s a good thing for the team.”

Hwang Hee-chan is ruled out at Anfield with a hamstring injury he sustained in the Premier League win over the Reds on February 4.

Hwang is now nearing a return to the field. "I think he is in the last part of his recovery," said Lopetegui. "We will see. It will be a good thing for us. Maybe one or two weeks more. It depends on the sensation and the feeling of the player.”

Boubacar Traore remains on the sidelines for another couple of weeks with his groin injury while Chiquinho and Sasa Kalajdzic are longer term absences with knee problems.

Suspended

Wolves currently have no players who are suspended for the Premier League clash with Liverpool.
