Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui comments on Nottingham Forest's huge transfer spend

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has spoken about the amount of money spent by Nottingham Forest since their promotion to the Premier League.

The Reds have signed 30 players since the summer transfer window, although signing players was essential for Forest with a thin squad from the Championship needing reinforcements.

But concerns were raised over how Steve Cooper would be able to gel together a team which would be competitive during Forest's return to the top flight. The Reds are currently just two points above the bottom three.

However, the manager in the opposition dugout for Forest's clash against Wolves on Saturday believes the Reds have a clear strategy and has labelled them as "complete".

“They have invested a lot of money and they are clear on what they want, they are a very complete team," the Wolves boss said during his side's pre-match press conference before Saturday's match. "In any moment they can damage you, they have quality players and very fast players.

"The most important thing is we have to be ready, with a very positive mentality and always looking forward with positive thoughts.”

The Spaniard also highlighted how his players need to embrace the pressure of this weekend's game. Both teams are in a relegation scrap and separated by just a point in the Premier League table.

He added: “It’s a pleasure to play these kinds of matches, we are privileged to have this position to play these matches. The players have to be ready.

“We have to enjoy the moments and take advantage of them. To feel this pressure is a good thing, we are fighting very hard. From this moment, with this mentality, it is very important."
