Tom Brady announced his newest sports ownership venture on Thursday morning, as he is now a minority investor in Birmingham City FC.
The ownership stake in Birmingham City FC is the fifth sports team that Brady has invested in this year, joining the Raiders of the NFL, the Aces of the WNBA, a 2023 Major League Pickleball expansion team and a 2024 E1 World Championship expansion team.
Brady has always had his business interests outside of football, including his TB12 sports nutrition centers and his Brady brand of clothing while he was still an active player. While many expected that his post-playing career ventures would center around his broadcasting gig with Fox, it’s clear that owning sports teams is something he is incredibly interested in now that he’s hung up his cleats.
It will be interesting to see where else Brady will find value as a sports investor moving forward. This is likely far from the last we’ll hear about the retired quarterback and his sports ownership ventures.
