The Ohio State football program has been beaten up over the last few weeks because of both its CFP route and its recent loss to Michigan.
While it deserves some of that backlash for its play in the biggest game on its schedule, one should also take a step back and realize just how good this season has been over the last six years.
The Buckeyes are the only football program with four CFP appearances in the last six years. That’s impressive and shows the consistency that this team has had in that span — despite the losses on the biggest of stages.

The Buckeyes were set to be the No. 5 seed, but with their loss to the Wolverines in their final game of the season, they missed the Big Ten Championship Game and ultimately fell to No. 8. They will host the Tennessee Volunteers on December 21.
Ohio State missed the event last season and came in at No. 4 in the final ranking the year prior, losing to the eventual champion, Georgia.
