A woman has thanked her mum for being her rock over the years.
Stephanie Gordon nominated mum Lorna, from Wishaw, for our weekly Say it with Flowers competition and can’t thank her enough for all she has done for her.
Stephanie, who lives in Carluke, said: “There is so many reasons my mum deserves them.
“Although we disagree as daughters do, I know my mum has always supported me. We nearly lost my mum a few years back due to a brain aneurysm.
“She was out cycling and collapsed in Dimsdale Crescent. Thankfully someone found her and we got her to the hospital.
“I think that’s made us closer as we realised we could have been without each other.
“We talk every day and if I’ve ever been stuck my mum is the first to help and offer solutions.”
As well as looking after her, Stephanie is also thankful for all the help Lorna has given her since she became a mum six months ago with daughter Amelia.
And we were delighted to catch up with Stephanie and Lorna and present her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers thanks to our friends at Pixie’s Petals in Newmains.
Stephanie added: “She is the best nana my daughter could ask for. I know they are going to grow up to be best pals and I’ll be shoved to the side!
“But she is my best friend who I still phone to ask ‘how many carrots do I need for lentil soup’ and sometimes just a good blether.
"We were on the phone the other night and before I realised we had been on the phone for over an hour just talking.
“She’s done so much for me not just raise me single handed but also just through the good and bad. I know everyone says their mum’s their best friend but mine is.”
