Wishaw woman reported missing after failing to meet with family

Police in Lanarkshire are seeking the assistance of the public in trying to locate a missing Wishaw woman.

Sonia Miller, 39, was due to meet with family on Tuesday, January 17, but she never arrived.

She was last seen around 11.30am that morning in the town’s Glasgow Road.

She is white, around 5ft8 inches in height, with a heavy build and dark brown hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a black parka jacket with a fur hood, dark grey leggings, white trainers and carrying a black bag with Urban Outfitters written in white letters.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Extensive enquiries are being carried out to locate Sonia and officers are continuing to speak to her family and friends.

“Officers are also continuing to check CCTV footage for any additional information.

“Sonia’s family is growing increasingly concerned and just want to know she is safe and well.

“If anyone has seen Sonia or has any information or knowledge as to her whereabouts, please call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1526 of the 17 January, 2023.”
