Wishaw gym boss uses profits from meal prep company to feed homeless

A Shotts boxer is using the profits from his new meal prep business to help feed the homeless.

Life is going pretty well for boxer and gym owner, Scott Allan, at the moment; so much so, that he wanted to give back to his local community.

The 29-year-old former kickboxing champion runs Rivals Gym in Wishaw alongside his brother Sam, and will take on Marcel Braithwaite in Liverpool for the vacant WBC International Silver Super Flyweight title this Saturday,

The pair also started Rivals Meal Prep which is going so well, they are using the profits from it to help feed the homeless in the local area.

Motherwell FC fan Scott told Lanarkshire Live : “This is just another way that we can give back to our community.

“We’ve fed the homeless a few times from the gym, but it hasn’t been very busy.

“So what we did the last time was we made 150 meals and for the ones who weren’t able to attend the gym we gave them to Wishaw Food Bank, who welcomed them with open arms.

“We’re totally fine where we’re at just now, and if we can help a few people it’s just an excellent feeling."

We told you previously how Scott, who is a fierce supporter of Chris’ House, also does his bit to help out by running mental health classes.

He added: "I’m also passionate about helping people’s mental health.

"We’ve got classes and lots on for people who are struggling, and it’s not for guys or women, it’s for everybody in general.

“If we can help them out in any way we will.”
