Wirral contestant Adam faced off against a pair of strong Tipping Point competitors.
Ben Shephard welcomed another round of hopefuls today trying to win a £20,000 cash prize. One of today's contestants was Adam from Wirral who ended up taking on one of the show's toughest ever games.
Though the badminton player made it safely through the first round, the competition was strong from the beginning as competitors Dan and Emma seemed to sweep the drop zone. One viewer even commented on how quickly coins were disappearing from the machine with a tweet that said: "# TippingPoint Fecksake there's nothing left."

Dan and Emma received somewhat easy answers in their speed round with questions like "Finish the sentence, a chip off the old..." When it came to Adam's round, he only managed three coins but was met with extremely specific geography and novel questions
Because of this, Dan and Emma managed five drops each and effectively cleared the remaining coins on the machine, leaving Adam to go for the scraps. Adam still managed to rack up another £250 but it didn't scratch the sides of the others' thousand-pound pots and sadly said farewell at the end of round two.
