Window cleaners had to be rescued by the fire brigade in Cardiff after their lift became stuck. Fire crews in attendance had to use an aerial platform to carry out the rescue.
A call was made to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service at 9.01am on Sunday after two men became stuck in Park Street, in the city centre. Crews from Cardiff Central arrived at the scene shortly later.
A spokeswoman from the service said 100 litres of hydraulic fluid had fallen onto the carriageway, causing the lift machine to stop working. Both men were uninjured during the incident.
The road was closed for a short period as the fire brigade carried out the rescue. Absorbent pads were then used to clean up the liquid but the road was reopened a short time later.
