To celebrate Nuno Bettencourt’s cover feature on the latest issue of Guitar World, we’ve partnered with Washburn to give one reader the chance to win a Washburn N4-Nuno Vintage signature guitar.
The axe of choice for the Extreme virtuoso – whose fretboard antics have lit the music world on fire over the past few months – the US-made Washburn is valued at $2,599, and can be won by entering the giveaway hosted on the Washburn’s website.
With a premium, Nuno-approved spec sheet, the guitar is the epitome of speed and tonal versatility, combining an alder body and birdseye maple neck via a 5-bolt Stephen’s Extended Cutaway for ultimate accessibility.
Other specs include a Seymour Duncan 59 neck and Bill Lawrence bridge pickup – paired with a sole volume control – as well as a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Original bridge for that none-more-Nuno whammy action.
Bettencourt and his Washburn have set the guitar world on the edge of its seat in recent months, having announced Extreme’s long-awaited return with Rise – the lead single from upcoming album, Six, which features one of 2023’s most talked about and electrifying guitar solos.
The making of Six – as well as all the juicy guitar acrobatics it contains – will be the topic of conversation for Bettencourt’s cover feature in the new issue of Guitar World, which is on sale today over on Magazines Direct.
It’s been a while since Bettencourt last graced the cover of Guitar World, with this issue featuring a deep dive into the guitarist’s Rihanna stint, insight from numerous guitar heroes on Bettencourt’s brilliance and a full transcript of the Rise guitar solo.
The giveaway for the Washburn N4-Nuno Vintage can be entered now, and will run until July 10. One winner will then be chosen on July 20.
