Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Borealis has resumed her programme of sailing from Liverpool after completing a multimillion-pound refurbishment at Cammell Laird shipyard in Birkenhead.
Borealis joined the Fred. Olsen fleet in 2020, and has called Liverpool its homeport since sailing resumed in 2021, and in this time offering more than 50 sailings from the city.
The cruise line has teamed up with the Liverpool Echo to offer you the chance to WIN a cruise for two of up to nine-nights aboard the newly refurbished ship.
Borealis ’ will continue to be based from Liverpool for 2023, with opportunities to enjoy scenic sailings some of Scotland’s beautiful islands, witness the beauty of the Norwegian Fjords in their summertime glory, and experience the natural wonders of Iceland.
In February, she will also depart on an exciting ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ cruise in February – the first time Fred. Olsen has offered the chance to join a World Cruise from Liverpool.
And from 2023, every cruise from Liverpool will feature Fred. Olsen’s five new Signature Experiences, focusing on Itinerary Insights, the Sky at Sea, Treats of the Region, Scenic Discoveries and the Ship and the Sea, with each to be delivered by specialist guides who are experts in their field.

All you have to do is pick up a copy of the Liverpool ECHO on Monday, December 5 and collect your first code. You will need two codes to enter the competition.
Codes will be printed in the ECHO from Monday, December 5 until Saturday, December 10 2022.

Terms and Conditions
This prize is valid for any sailing aboard Borealis of up to 9-nights, departing from Liverpool in 2022 or 2023.
The prize is for two adults, or one adult and one child (aged 12 and above).
The prize is on a cruise only basis and does not include transport to the port.
The prize does not include any additional expenses such as parking at the port.
A gratuity of £5 per person, per day, will be added to the on-board account and must be settled at the end of the cruise. This cannot be removed.
The prize does not include travel insurance. The winners will be responsible for sourcing their own cruise specific travel insurance, including cancellation or curtailment cover for Covid-19, plus cover for any medical, repatriation and expenses costs as a result of a Covid diagnosis or illness during the cruise, without which they will be unable to board.
The winners must have a full and valid passport, with at least six months’ validity from the last day of the cruise.
The winners must be fully vaccinated as follows:
For adults, this includes two original doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, and a third booster dose. You must have had your booster at least seven days before your cruise sets sail.
If you are due to have your second vaccine less than three months before your cruise sets sail, you do not need to have had a booster vaccination. Please note, you must allow at least 14 days after your second vaccine before you can sail with us.
Our younger guests, aged 12 – 17, will need to have had two vaccinations before joining us on board, with at least 14 days since the date of their second dose.
This promotional competition is not for resale, is non-refundable and non-transferable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. No cash/credit refunds can be given under any circumstances and this prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
If Fred. Olsen is required to cancel this cruise for any reason, a suitable alternative cruise will be offered.
The winners will be solely responsible for any tax liability incurred as a result of this offer.
