Wimbledon fans missing Sue Barker as BBC starts coverage with new team

Tennis fans are already saying how much they miss Sue Barker as the host of Wimbledon coverage on the BBC. The presenter announced her retirement from TV last year and has been replaced by ex-women's cricketer Isa Guha and Clare Balding as the voice of the tournament.

Barker's legendary broadcasting career spanned more than 30 years and she became synonymous with Wimbledon, becoming the BBC'S main host of the tournament in 2000. The 67-year-old revealed 12 months ago that it was the "right" time to step aside, turning down a contract extension to host the BBC's coverage of the event.

As Wimbledon kicks off with a new-look team, fans have already expressed their disappointment that Barker - who won the 1976 French Open Women's Singles title during her professional tennis playing days - is no longer on their TV. Some tennis fans took to Twitter to share their feelings, with many agreeing that the coverage won't be the same without her.
