'Wilson hat-trick incoming' - Newcastle United supporters react to starting XI vs Arsenal

Newcastle United supporters are ecstatic to see Callum Wilson return to the starting line-up. The main pre-match discussion among Toon fans was whether Eddie Howe would reintroduce Wilson and Kieran Trippier after their cameos last weekend.

Both players made their long-awaited return from injury during the 5-0 drubbing to Manchester City - prompting calls for the pair to be given a starting berth against Arsenal.

Howe remained coy on the pair's fitness ahead of the clash at his pre-match press conference. He said: "Both players would say they're very keen to start but my job is to make sure I'm doing what's best for the team. We've got to make sure they're fit enough to last a long period in the game. We'll make a decision based on the training week."

Only Wilson is thrust back into the line-up as Trippier is forced to settle for a place on the bench. Elsewhere, Jamaal Lascelles misses out in place of Fabian Schar. This is how supporters reacted to the team on social media.

@AngelNUFC: Great team, pleased Wilson is starting. Arsenal will be nervous as they were against Spurs, would love to end their CL hopes.
