Wilson, Bruno and Schar decisions to make - pick your Newcastle United XI to face Bournemouth

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has almost a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the Magpies Round of 16 Carabao Cup clash against AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

The Magpies host the Cherries at St James' Park in what will be their first post-World Cup competitive fixture. But it remains to be seen which of Newcastle's international stars will be involved in the clash against Bournemouth.

While both Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope started the Magpies weekend friendly against Rayo Vallecano, there's no guarantee that they, along with Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar, will start against Bournemouth.

With a tricky Boxing Day trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City coming up, Howe may choose to hold back some of his key players in order to have them fit and raring to go against the Foxes. One player who does look set to miss the tie against Bournemouth is Swedish forward Alexander Isak, who is being assessed "day by day" according to Howe.

But how do you think the Magpies should line-up against Bournemouth? Should Howe start a full strength Newcastle side? Or should he look to balance the side out with players who remained with the Magpies during the World Cup break?

Use our interactive team selector above to pick your Newcastle United XI to take on Bournemouth. You can then compare that with the most popular XI ahead of Tuesday night's tie.
