An Edinburgh craft beer company's Willy Wonka-inspired post-pandemic office could well be the coolest place to work in Scotland.
Beer 52, The world’s biggest beer subscription club has unveiled its stunning new office in Edinburgh amid launch of it’s new wine club, Wine52
With the new workspace being defined as a 'feast for the eyes', it features giant zigzag floors, colourful arched doorways and bespoke murals adorning the walls.
Inspired by themes of fun, colour and inclusivity - and the eccentricity and boldness of Willy Wonka - the team behind Beer52’s HQ believe it 'redefines' the office as we know it.

At the other end of the covid crisis, their staff are enjoying a ‘hybrid working’ model - where half the working week takes place at home and half in the new premises which reflects the changing focus of the office as a hub for in person collaboration, socialising and events.
And the contemporary office could be the envy of many across Scotland, with its in-office microbrewery, on-demand yoga sessions, fresh beer on tap and delicious dinners with colleagues around a proper wood-fired pizza oven.
Sharing pictures of the unique setup today, the Beer 52 team say: "If tasting beer and wine samples from small producers from around the world in a beautiful setting of custom furniture sounds like your cup of tea, then applications are encouraged regardless of prior beer and wine knowledge.
"The tasting room’s flip-top leaf tables also allow for blind wine tastings - all in the name of research, of course - with employees offered the opportunity to study for and sit their WSET qualifications at work.
"Designed in collaboration with award-winning Scottish firm JA!COCO!, which has steered interior designs for capital favourites Superico, Civerinos and Hula, Beer52’s new base is set to be propelled to the top of Edinburgh’s most coveted workspaces.
"And as the fast-growing drinks subscription service prepares to create up to 50 new jobs across customer services, finance, HR, marketing and logistics, landing that dream will soon become a reality for many."
Anouska Scott, Head of People at Beer52 said: “Since its inception Beer52 has constantly pushed the envelope on what it means to be different and innovative.
“When designing our new HQ we really wanted to shake up perceptions of what ‘the office’ means and create a space where our team feels creative, inspired, valued and fulfilled.
“With 50 new team members set to join our existing staff base of 100, we can’t wait to welcome them in, and to continue to cement Beer52 as one of the best places to work in Scotland, if not the world.”
