Willy Kambwala signs for Manchester United: Who is the new Man Utd defender?

Willy Kambwala has become the latest rising star to be snapped up by Manchester United.

The centre-back from Sochaux completed a deadline day move that will see him join up with the under 18s.

He continues a busy summer of recruitment for the club’s academy as they attempt to secure the best emerging talent across the globe.

Kambwala follows deals for Alejandro Garnacho from Atletico Madrid and Charlie McNeill from Manchester City last week.

The 16-year-old has captained France’s U17s and played up to U19 level for Sochaux.

United have cast their net at home and abroad to secure some of the most exciting prospects, with Marc Jurado from Barcelona and Alvaro Fernandez Carreras from Real Madrid recently signed.

Tromso’s Isak Hansen-Aaoren and Radek Vitek from Sigma Oloumouc are other new additions.

United have also added domestic prospects in the form of Logan Pye and Joe Hugill from Sunderland.
