Referee Willie Collum will not take charge of a Scottish Premiership clash this weekend just days after his controversial performance during Hib's draw with Rangers.
The man in the middle dominated the talking points coming out of the Easter Road showdown, with Rangers ' duo John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos seeing red before Josh Campbell netted a last minute equaliser for the hosts. Lundstram's sending off for a professional foul on Martin Boyle has already been overturned following an SFA appeal, with controversy also surrounding award of a penalty to visitors with Hibs defender Rocky Bushiri punished for a tug on Antonio Colak.
After being at the centre of the post match debate, Collum will be out of the firing line on Saturday as he takes charge of Queen's Park vs Cove Rangers clash at Ochilview. He will be assisted by Michael Banks and Paul McAvinue for the Championship encounter.
Owen Coyle's men are off to a promising start in the second tier, having only lost one game so far this term after promotion through the League One playoffs. Cove are sitting in ninth.
The break from Scotland's top flight teams is only temporary for the official with the SFA appointing Collum to take charge of Celtic' s Premier Sports Cup clash with Ross County.
