Willie Collum handed Celtic clash as Rangers learn referee and VAR for Dundee United showdown

The Scottish FA have announced their refereeing picks for the return of the Premiership this weekend - two weeks after what was a rather uncomfortable time for match officials.

Almost every top-flight game on March 18 was marred with controversy which led to calls from managers, pundits and fans for VAR technology to be scrapped. For something that was meant to improve decisions, it has left Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou incensed on several occasions while Killie manager Derek McInnes recently claimed his club have been harshly dealt with - getting "zilch" from VAR.

As the Premiership goes into the final nine games of the season after the international break, all eyes will be on how the officials continue to use VAR and if they can defer from becoming the biggest talking point at matches. Don Robertson will be the man in the middle when Rangers and Dundee United face off at Ibrox on Saturday, whilst experienced whistler Willie Collum will take charge of Celtic's clash with Ross County a day later. However Nick Walsh, who has been heavily criticised since VAR's introduction, is set to sit out officiating duties on this occasion.
