William Saliba continued his impressive start to the season by scoring the opening goal in Arsenal's game at Brentford. The 21-year-old scored his second goal of the campaign (with just his third effort of the season) after nodding home Bukayo Saka's corner.
Finally getting his chance in an Arsenal shirt after spending a few loan spells in Ligue 1, Saliba has impressed for the Gunners at both ends of the pitch. His first Arsenal start only came on the opening day of the season against Crystal Palace, but Saliba has proved himself to be a vital first-team player since.
Despite only playing seven games during his time with the north London side, there have been reports that Arsenal are set to hand the defender a new, long-term deal. According to 90min, the Gunners have held discussions with the player and his agent as they look to reward his stellar performances.
