William Houston: Police launch hunt for missing pensioner as concerns grow

An 83-year-old man has been reported missing in Edinburgh, with police adding that 'concerns are growing'.

William Houston was last seen in the Corstorphine area at around 6.30am on Thursday and is described as around 5ft 7in tall, slim with white hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jumper, white shirt and black trousers.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said he often travels by bus, or walks to local shops.

They added: "William Houston was last seen in the Corstorphine area around 6.30am today (Thursday, April 20) and we are concerned for his welfare.

"William is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall and of slim or frail build with white hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jumper, white shirt and black trousers."

Inspector Keith Forrester said: “William often travels by bus or walks to local shops.

“If anyone may have seen William today or has any information about his whereabouts, please contact us via 101 quoting incident number 0523 of 20 April.”
