William and Kate's first kiss imagined in upcoming The Crown episodes

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first kiss has been reimagined for the next installment of Netflix drama The Crown

In a teaser for the second half of the final series of the show, the future Princes and Princess of Wales kiss at what would appear to be a busy bar in their university town of St Andrews.

Netflix released the first half of the final season on Thursday. It has now begun teasing what will happen in the final six episodes that will bring the curtain down on one of the streaming giant’s most popular shows of all time.

In this series, Ed McVey, 24, plays William while Meg Bellamy, 21, plays Kate.

The royal couple met at St Andrews in 2001. Their romance is said to have blossomed after William watched his future wife model a sheer dress in a student fashion show.

That moment is also reportedly depicted in the show.

They graduated in 2005.

The final episode of the series will reportedly reimagine the 2005 wedding of King Charles and Queen Camilla

A Netflix source told The Mail: “The first half of the final series focused on the tragic death of Princess Diana which was a particularly difficult time for the Royal family.

“However, the second half is a lot more joyous as Wills Mania grips the world and he meets his future wife Katie Middleton at university. Their first kiss is one of those magical, joyous moments, and their relationship and love for each other is celebrated throughout the final part of the series.

“It's going to leave the viewers on a real high as the series comes to its emotional end. It was the perfect era of the Royal family to end on.”
