The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are bringing up their children the "Middleton way" in order to keep them grounded, a royal expert has said.
It has long been thought that Prince William and Kate are keen for as normal an upbringing as possible for their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The trio have remained largely out of the spotlight although all made prominent appearances at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Royal experts have said that William and Kate are carefully handling their children's public appearances in order to not over-expose them and allow them to have a more conventional younger life.
And according to royal author Duncan Larcombe, one way of doing this is by modelling their parenting on the way Kate was brought up by her parents Carole and Mike alongside her sister Pippa and brother James.
Duncan told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "I think what we've seen for some time now is that the model William and Kate are essentially using as a family is the Middleton way.
"It’s that strong family; brothers, sisters, everyone. And it is a tight unit."

Oldest child George, who turned nine last month, has made the most public appearances recently - and made his debut visit to Wimbledon alongside his mum and dad.
And fellow royal expert Richard Kay told the show: "William has curated George's appearances in a completely different way from the way his mother and father curated his.
"William and Harry, particularly William, were thrust from a very young age centre stage. William has taken a different view, he wants to protect [his children] for as long as possible, give them some semblance of a normal childhood.
"But inevitably as [George] gets older, we're going to see more of him, in a jacket and tie, at Wimbledon as we did, and at Platinum Jubilee-type celebrations."
Meanwhile, it wasn't really until the Jubilee celebrations last month that four-year-old Louis appeared in public - and he totally stole the show with his cheeky antics.
But according to royal author Ingrid Seward, the spotlight being on Louis would have been of concern to mum Kate.
She told The Royal Beat: "I think Kate has to wrap some semblance of normality around [their children], because she knows what [royal life] can do.
"She’s seen it; she’s been around long enough... but they’re not normal children, and I think it’s extremely hard to keep their little feet on the ground... I think this is a danger Kate’s very aware of.
"Louis at the Jubilee became a superstar, but that would have probably worried her a bit."
