Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss suffered an injury late last week that calls into question his availability for Week 10 and beyond.
With the injury occurring right around the NFL trade deadline, it creates an interesting situation for a Bengals team hoping to make a playoff push.
Zack Moss injury update
- Update: Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed on Monday that Moss will be out indefinitely with a neck injury.
- Moss was a Friday addition to the injury report with a neck injury and missed the win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
How long will Zack Moss be out?
- Impossible to say, but it doesn’t seem good. Moss wasn’t on the injury report at all before the neck injury during what is usually a pretty tame Friday practice. During the game against the Raiders, Chase Brown was the workhorse, carrying it 27 times for 120 yards and catching five passes for 37 yards and a score.
- Perhaps most telling about Moss’ status? The usually conservative Bengals are reportedly buyers at the NFL trade deadline on running backs.
Bengals RB depth chart
- Chase Brown
- Trayveon Williams
- Kendall Milton
And this is why the Bengals would be buyers at the deadline. Brown is looking like a fantastic player but doesn’t have the frame for a bellcow workrate all season. Williams is more of a special teams presence and Milton, a rookie, only just joined the 53.
