'Will we ever stop?' - Liverpool fans spot recurring goal theme after Inter Milan win

Liverpool will fancy their chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League after securing a 2-0 victory over Inter Milan in their round of 16 first leg clash.

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were both on target at the San Siro on Wednesday evening as Jurgen Klopp's side responded to a wave of pressure from the hosts in impressive fashion.

The Reds got their first goal of the game in the second half courtesy of a Firmino flick-on header, which deceived Inter keeper Samir Handanovic before making its way into the back of the net.

A second strike arrived eight minutes later as Salah capitalised on a loose ball inside the area from the second phase of a Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick delivery.

Liverpool have made a habit of scoring from set-pieces this season and displayed their ability from dead-ball situations once again.

Fabinho won three points for the Reds last weekend at Burnley courtesy of quick-thinking from a corner kick, and this is a habit the team are continuing to make the most of.

It's an area of the game that Liverpool haven't always been the masters of, though supporters have recognised that Klopp's side are now leading the way in this department after exploiting another side.
