Will Tom Brady immediately join FOX for Super Bowl 2023 coverage after retirement?

It’s a question we can now ask officially after Tom Brady announced his retirement on Wednesday morning (“for good” this time, as he said, no unretiring now!): Will the GOAT participate at all in the Super Bowl 57 coverage of Eagles-Chiefs on FOX?

First off: We’ve reached out to FOX Sports to find out the answer and will update when we hear back.

Second: It’s a good question. Because back in 2022, Brady signed a reported 10-year, $375 million contract to join the network and call NFL games alongside their No. 1 play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. He’d replace Greg Olsen, who’s been praised for his job after his own retirement from the NFL a few years ago.

This is me speculating: I can’t imagine FOX would put him into the booth right away for the biggest game of the year without a few reps, but what about getting on the air in the pregame?

People were wondering the same thing:

We may see the answer to this soon enough.
