Will there be a Ted Lasso season 4? Everything said on the future of the USA show

Ted Lasso has caught the hearts of football fans all over the world for its wittiness and smart account of the running of a Premier League club.

The American comedy-drama starring Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein has spanned over three seasons since first airing in August 2020.

Season three of the sports series ends tomorrow (Wednesday, May 31) and fans all over the world are wondering whether the episode will be the last ever episode.

"This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell," Sudeikis said in March 2023. "The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond me than what they don't even know yet - that being season 3- it's flattering.

"Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they're like, 'Man, you know what, we get it, we're fine. We don't need anymore, we got it'. But until that comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we've come up with so far."

Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, seconded Sudeikis' comments by confirming the show was always meant to be three seasons. "We are writing it like that," he told Sunday Times. "It was planned as three. Spoiler alert: Everyone dies."

Despite this, Apple TV+ have not called the current season the final one, so there could still be further progress in the Ted Lasso storyline.
