We've been patiently waiting for our annual Cousins Beach vacation, and now that it's arrived, we can't help but look ahead. When it comes to Jenny Han's captivating and emotional coming-of-age stories, we cannot seem to help ourselves, and we won't apologize.
The first three episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2 dropped on Prime Video on Friday, July 14. Weekly drops will be on Fridays through August 18, but let's take a look at what's happening beyond 2023, shall we?

While nothing has been confirmed regarding The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 quite yet, there's a good chance that Belly and the Fischer boys will round out the trilogy with a final TV installment, especially considering how well-received the YA sensation has been.

I know our global prime audience will thank us.”
The company will act as a home for Belly and Co., as well as other ideas from the writer, including an adult story that's a nod to Nora Ephron. According to Time, the bestselling author has a lot on her plate, including a film concept, hashing out ideas for a limited and regular series, writing an adult novel and two more YA books. If anyone needs a little R&R in Cousins Beach, it's definitely Jenny!
What will 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 be about?
Though the series loosely follows the trilogy, Jenny is definitely in favor of switching things up on screen.
"Nothing will really match up to the story that you saw in your own head when you read the book, but you will always have that experience, and that will always be alive for you in your imagination," the author told People. "This is just my version of The Summer I Turned Pretty TV show, how I envisioned it and how I wanted to tell it."
The third novel is groundbreaking, not just for Belly, but readers. Our protagonist is forced to finally choose between the two brothers who stole her heart, but what are they keeping from her?
