Will the Vikings make Justin Jefferson the highest paid non-QB?

When you select a player with the talent of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, you are going to have to pay him at some point. When that contract extension comes due, he could end up the highest-paid non-quarterback in the National Football League.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, that is exactly what some executives in the league think could happen.

“When you talk to people around the league, they wonder if he (Jefferson) will become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.”

Jefferson currently isn’t at OTAs, but that’s not something to be concerned with at this point. Judd Zulgad wrote about that exact topic on Tuesday. If he misses mandatory minicamp, then we can be truly concerned.

Back in November, I wrote about his potential contract extension and predicted a three-year, $96 million contract, which would be $0.25 million more than what Aaron Donald’s average annual value currently is.

No matter what Jefferson’s contract looks like, he will almost certainly be worth it.
