Since the passing of the Queen, many changes have taken place with television schedules across the country changing to reflect the mood of the country as well as a mark of respect to the late monarch who passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8.
However whilst channels have changed what they're broadcasting, Channel 4 have issued an update on what will happen with the Great British Bake Off.
Whilst others understand the sudden change, it seems the airing of GBBO is welcomed with it provided some joy at a difficult time to many.

This means that the show will air as planned with it set to make a return to our screens tonight (September 13) at 8pm. The show will air for an hour and a half, including breaks for adverts with Bake Off finishing at 9.30pm.
In a tweet they confirmed the schedule. The official Great British Bake Off account said: "Tonight on your television in a tent far, far away…The Great British Bake Off returns! #GBBO."
This will be the first episode of the new series with 13 keen bakers set to show off their skills and impress the judges with many seeking the famous Paul Hollywood handshake.
Returning to the tent alongside judge Paul Hollywood will be Dame Prue Leith and much-loved presenters Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding.
One local contestant is James who grew up in Glasgow and a nuclear Scientist. As previously reported by Glasgow Live, James is a proud kilt-wearer and grew up in the east-end of Glasgow having moved to England after university.
The 25-year-old is a self-proclaimed board-game geek who loves horror films from the 70s and 80s. He has admitted to being a huge music fan and likes to reflect that in his baking, which he says has improved greatly in comparison to when he was burning pancakes in his mother's kitchen.
Being a nuclear scientist, he enjoys the technical side of baking, but is in his element when he makes his bakes his own, with his signature ‘child-friendly horror’ style and adorable decoration. His favourite flavours are anything autumnal, such as mixed spice, apples and caramel.

On Friday, Channel 4 also launched the new series of Gogglebox as planned with the broadcaster saying it would bring a “valuable sense of continuity” for many of their viewers.
They broadcaster added they had made “significant changes” to its schedule in the wake of the Queen’s death however its purpose was to offer an “alternative” for viewers which it feels is “particularly important at times like this”.
Comedy chat show, The Last Leg, was due to follow on from Gogglebox on the Channel 4 schedule however Adam Hills, the show’s presenter said they had decided to cancel the episode as it “didn’t feel right”.
