Will Smith shares ‘official statement’ after Jada Pinkett Smith’s bombshell marriage claims

Will Smith has released an “official statement” in the wake of Jada Pinkett Smith’s bombshell claims about their relationship.

In recent days, the actress, 52, has hit the headlines with revelations from her memoir, titled Worthy, including the disclosure that the couple have been secretly separated since 2016.

And it appears that Smith has had enough of the reports swirling around them and made his thoughts clear on Instagram with a tongue-in-cheek video, which he captioned: “OFFICIAL STATEMENT.”

In the footage, the 55-year-old can be seen sitting in front of a fireplace and saying: “I got something for you.

“So, here’s the thing. My opinion of the…” but before he could finish his sentiments, he sneezed.

As a result of his sneeze, the camera starts to zoom out of his living room, home, through a waterfall and eventually out of the planet.

The Hollywood star’s followers commented in their droves under his humorous response to the drama.

One penned: “Always good to zoom out and look at the big picture!”

“Needed you to weigh in with this opinion. It’s on point!”, another commented. “This is the only correct opinion!”

A fourth added: “I’m going to use this next time somebody asks me about politics!”

Will Smith married the Matrix star in 1997, and the pair share son Jaden and daughter Willow while Smith has a son Trey from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.

In recent days, Pinkett Smith revealed that she’s been “separated” from Will since 2016 but the pair aren’t legally divorced and won’t ever be “able to break that promise”.

"By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying," she told Today. "I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

Pinkett Smith, who said the pair haven’t lived together for two years, also insisted that she was “shocked” that he called her his “wife” when he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars after he made a joke about her hair-loss.

The altercation resulted in widespread criticism of Smith, who subsequently resigned from the Academy and was later banned from attending all Oscar events for the next 10 years.
