Will Scheana Shay be at the 'Vanderpump Rules' reunion? Why a restraining order could make things tricky

Raquel Leviss and Scheana Shay attend the Quay x Chrissy Teigen launch event at The London West Hollywood on August 15, 2019 in West Hollywood, California

A restraining order against Scheana Shay is cranking up the tension on what is already surely going to be an eventful Vanderpump Rules reunion

The latest in the ongoing Vanderpump Rules drama—which centers on Tom Sandoval being caught cheating on his longtime partner Ariana Madix with their co-star Raquel Leviss—Leviss reportedly filed a restraining order against former friend Shay following a "heated confrontation" between the two Bravo stars that turned physical regarding the affair.

The altercation, which allegedly involved Shay punching Leviss in the face, reportedly occurred in New York City on March 2 after the two Vanderpump Rules cast members had appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live. "Scheana was furious," a source told People. "She and all the Vanderpump Rules costars have rallied around Ariana during this time. They can't believe Raquel would do something like that."

But with the upcoming reunion slated to tape later this month, fans are wondering how both Raquel Leviss and Scheana Shay will be able to participate given the recent restraining order. Here's what we know.

Will Scheana Shay be at the 'Vanderpump Rules' reunion?

First thing first: is Scheana Shay even allowed to legally be at the Vanderpump Rules reunion?

"The temporary restraining order, as it stands now, currently prohibits Scheana from being within 100 yards of Rachel so they can't both be physically present at the reunion," says the star's attorney Neama Rahmani, per People. "Rachel not only betrayed her friends, but she has sabotaged this reunion because it just can't happen in any meaningful way while this order is in place."

"There really is no mechanism to modify this type of temporary civil restraining order before the hearing so the reunion, at least having them all together in person, is certainly in jeopardy," Rahmani adds, saying that even if one of them Zooms in and appears virtually during the reunion, "Scheana still can't communicate with Rachel either directly or through an intermediary" like host Andy Cohen.

So far, the Vanderpump Rules reunion is scheduled to be taped on Thursday, March 23, while a hearing for the restraining order is scheduled for six days later, during which both parties will offer up their own personal accounts of what happened during that March 2 altercation.

“Scheana never punched Raquel, period. The supposed dark markings around her left eye have been there for months,” Rahmani told Us Weekly on Friday, March 10. “Neither Scheana nor other cast members want anything to do with Raquel going forward. The judge has only heard a one-sided account of what happened, and we look forward to presenting the full and true story at the March 29 hearing.”

There will definitely be more reunion drama in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo on Wednesdays at 9pm EST, and can be streamed next-day on Peacock.
