Will Rangers and Hearts progress in Europe and where does Sead Haksabanovic fit in at Celtic? Saturday Jury

Where are the grounds for optimism for Rangers going in to this week’s Champions League showdown with PSV?

CRAIG SWAN : Grounds for optimism come in the shape of last season's Europa efforts. But PSV looked very good in spells at Ibrox and the odds are shaded against the Light Blues.

SCOTT BURNS: The fact the tie is still at 2-2 means this tie is very much on a knife-edge. PSV may be slight favourites with home advantage but Rangers have shown in recent seasons they can go away from home in Europe and dig out big results. They can do it again next week.

MICHAEL GANNON:
PSV are a quality side but they looked ropey at times at the back. Rangers can get at them and Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men will need to deal with the expectation from their own support. It could be another memorable night for Gers.

Likewise for Hearts, can they overturn Zurich at Tynecastle on Thursday?

CRAIG: Hearts will have the backing of the crowd, but defensive issues would be a worry. It's a 50-50 tie going into Tynecastle with Zurich having a slender lead and Robbie Neilson's men home advantage.

SCOTT: Tynecastle can be the decisive factor. It is one of the best atmospheres in the country and I expect it to be a wall of noise next week. I also believe Robbie Neilson to send his team out on the front foot for the win and those factors could turn this tie around.

MICHAEL: It’s not done and dusted but Hearts are up against it. The Jambos have the firepower to make a dent but they’ll need to avoid getting hit on the counter. It will take a huge performance.

Celtic are in the hunt for Rubin Kazan winger Sead Haksabanovic but how would he fit in to the Hoops first team?

CRAIG: He'd fit into the squad. Then get his chances in the team. Celtic look for quality alternatives and options in all positions to improve.

SCOTT: Ange Postecoglou is looking to add to his attacking options. The fact is that he already has an abundance of quality options in those areas. It would take Sead Haksabanovic to break into the team but it may be a more medium to long-term signing.

MICHAEL: He would certainly add to Celtic’s already impressive attack. Ange Postecoglou demands his frontmen to run themselves in to the ground so there’s always scope for games and rotation, with entire frontlines often subbed in matches.

We’re heading in to the final week of the transfer window, who needs to get the chequebook out the most?

CRAIG: If any of the likely bottom-six can just find a couple of nuggets in the last days of the window, it could swap a relegation scrap for an enjoyable term.

SCOTT: I would expect most top-flight clubs to do business. I still think Hearts need to add two or three more. They have a decent squad but with injuries and the demands of Europe until Christmas their resources really could be tested.

MICHAEL: Rangers need a keeper, Hibs could really do with some experience, especially in the midfield, Hearts probably need more backup and Motherwell are still well short. All managers will be hoping for more.
